Quelques mots sur moi

Professional experience

One day, my mother shared with me a valuable lesson: "Choose a profession that will never disappear, and you will always find opportunities to explore." These words still resonate in my mind, even after many years and an unconventional career path. Nevertheless, this wisdom remains relevant, even though I live far from my homeland where I grew up.

Originally from Poland, specifically from Western Pomerania and the city of Szczecin, I settled in Switzerland during my studies at the University of Applied Sciences, specializing in "Real Estate." Armed with my high school diploma in nutrition and food science, as well as a university degree, I dedicated 15 years of my career to the pharmaceutical and nutrition industry, working as a Project Manager, before returning, or I should say, going back to my first love in the real estate field.

Drawing on my professional experiences and knowledge, I seized the opportunity to establish my agency, Athena Real Estate, in 2017. Since then, I have continued to refine my skills in this domain, constantly evolving and seeking improvement and learning.

Nyon - the city of my heart

Since my arrival in Switzerland, I have had the privilege of initially settling in Geneva and in 1999, in the charming town of Nyon, becoming a full-fledged resident. My attachment to this picturesque city has never wavered, and I continue to be amazed by the beauty of the region, the lovely walks it offers, and the enriching encounters I have made and cherished for many years.

Mon engagement social et politique

My social commitment began in 2008 when I joined the Redoute Association. Within this association, I participated in organizing numerous events and celebrations for children, providing support for childcare in the neighborhood, assisting with after-school revisions, and coordinating collections of items for the less fortunate.

Subsequently, I had the pleasure of getting involved with APE Nyon (the Parent-Teacher Association). The aim of this association was to advocate for children's interests, support them in their educational journey, and foster harmonious relations between teachers and parents.

In parallel, I initiated a collaboration with the Swiss Dreams Association, actively participating in the organization of events aimed at raising funds to fulfill the dreams of sick and disadvantaged children.

My social commitment then led me to engage in the political life of the City of Nyon with the UDC. From 2016 to 2021, I had the honor of serving on the city council and actively participating in standing committees, including the Architecture and Urban Planning Committee, as well as the Management Committee. This demanding experience deepened my understanding of urban planning and allowed me to grasp the needs of the population regarding housing, public amenities, and long-term planning. I also contributed to parallel study mandates, thus promoting dialogue between the population's needs and architects' ideas. This experience created a true synergy between architectural design and the concrete demands of the community for the city's development, including densification and the vision of urban planning for the future.

For me, my political involvement holds particular significance as it reflects my deep respect for the country and culture I have chosen as my place of residence. I strive to preserve its traditions while celebrating its cosmopolitan character.
